              Ted summary            Patricia talking about language loss and the globalization of English. She talking about her experience of teaching in Abu Dhaby. A language dies every 14 days. At the same time English is the undisputed global language. She was recruited by Britist council along with about 25 other teachers to teach English in Kuwait and they is a first teacher that non-muslim teach there. The reason of government   ask them to teach English because the government want to modernize the country and empower the citizens through education. Why the people would focus on English, this because they want give their children the best chance in life. And to do that they need a western education such as getting education at western university, so they have to follow the test of English. The summary  The idea is texting spells the decline and fall, or at least writing ability. If this see in another way texting is miraculous thing, a kind of emergent complexity. Writing has certain advantages, when you write, it’s a conscious process because you can look backwards. Speech is much looser, much more telegraphic, it’s very different from writing. So, the languages is speech. As history has gone by the natural for there to be a certain amount of bleed between writing and speech. For example, in this era when someone give the speech to basicly talk like writing.   Someone who talking like writing have to type the text first, if she/he do not make by herself, she/he ask people to write what wanna talk, it’s mean the receiver of writing have to have good receive the message and quickly. This is summary about sign language by Christine Sun Kim. She start from a piano “p” that mean playing softly. When play music instrument if there is p you have to play softer. The current definition of silent is a very obscure sound. The history of American Sign Language (ASL). French sign language was brought to America during the early 1800s and as time pass this mixed with local signs, it call ASL today. A deaf person that living in sound like living in foreign country. To understand the sound she have two way: Fisrt, watching people response the sound, the people like loudspeaker for her and she learn and mirror that behavior. Second, in the same time she learn to create the sound and see how people respond to her. This is sound etiquette. Deaf culture, movement is equivalent to the sound. Diana talked about her experience of teaching in some schools. Internet become an educational tool for getting information. she start teaching from Wisconsin and to small town in Kansas, she teaching an subject about American government. The students of 12th grade in that school is very enthusiastic about that subject. She change her tactic of teaching with give students studying by them self and they make anything for study about government and politics. The students show their experiential and authentic to her.
